Set of 4 Cutters (2+2) for Bevelled Profile Panelling – HSS M2 | D140 | d40 | 16–30 mm
Professional set of 4 bore-type cutters (2+2 system) made of HSS M2 high-speed steel for producing panelling with a bevelled (chamfered) profile, code 14.04UC, on 4-sided moulders or spindle moulders with a Ø40 mm spindle. The profile is split across 2 cutters each, which makes resharpening easier and the tools more durable in industrial use. Panelling thickness 16–30 mm, outer diameter 140 mm.

✨ KEY ADVANTAGES:
-
2+2 System – Industrial Durability: the profile is split across 4 cutters, so each tool carries a lower cutting load — less vibration, less heat and longer tool life in continuous production.
-
Easy Resharpening: cutters with a simpler profile are resharpened faster and more accurately, without losing the joint geometry.
-
Attractive Bevelled Profile: the chamfer between boards forms an even decorative groove, with a precise tongue-and-groove joint and no play.
-
HSS M2 – Finish Straight off the Cutter: the high-speed steel edge leaves a light, smooth surface on softwood, without burn marks, ready for treatment or lacquering.
-
Long-Term Investment: the inserts can be resharpened many times, and at advanced wear the cutter body is re-tipped with new inserts.
🔧 TO ORDER AND CUSTOMISATION:
-
HW (K40) version – the set can also be ordered with tungsten carbide inserts, for hardwood and high production volumes.
-
The cutters can be modified on request: bore, insert type, dimensions (panelling thickness, profile width) and adaptation to your type of moulding machine (4-sided moulder, spindle moulder, etc.).
🛠️ RESHARPENING WITH US – RECOMMENDED:
We recommend having the cutters resharpened by us: the process also includes profile correction, which is very important especially for jointing cutters — the tongue and groove stay perfectly matched after every resharpening.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS (HSS M2):
-
❌ For natural solid wood only – DO NOT use on particleboard, MDF, HDF or very hard exotic wood. Synthetic binders wear the high-speed steel edge prematurely.
- For hardwood in high volumes or abrasive materials, order the HW (K40) version.
- Keep a constant, even feed — stopping the tool in the material causes burn marks on the profile surface.
📊 COMPATIBILITY BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Excellent: the standard species for panelling — light finish, no burn marks, ready for treatment.
Good: efficient results, faster edge wear — more frequent resharpening.
Synthetic binders wear the HSS edge prematurely.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:
-
Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, respirator (fine wood dust) and hearing protection for extended work.
-
Check the mounting of the cutters on the spindle and that the nuts are fully tightened before starting.
-
Constant feed: do not stop the machine with the cutters in contact with the material — risk of burn marks and edge damage.
-
Observe the speed marked on the cutter body.
