📐 MADE TO ORDER – HOW TO ORDER:
This set is manufactured exclusively to order, customized to your needs. Click "Request a Quote" and specify:
-
Desired material: HSS M2 or HW (K40).
-
Spindle bore of your machine: Ø30 mm or Ø35 mm.
- We will send you a price quote and lead time as soon as possible.
✨ ADVANTAGES:
-
Tenon Depth up to 55 mm: the set produces solid structural joints for door frames and jambs, with a tenon deep enough for high mechanical strength.
-
Robust Treated Steel Body: ensures perfect balance and reduced vibration during operation.
-
Brazed HSS M2 Cutting Edges: fine, precise and consistent cut, easy to resharpen.
-
Versatile: optimized for soft and medium-density wood (fir, spruce, linden, beech, light oak).
-
Low Risk of Burning: on natural wood, the HSS M2 edge leaves a clean finish without burn marks.
-
Suitable for Traditional Workshops and Hobby CNC: easy mounting on most standard spindle moulders.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS:
-
HSS M2 variant: ❌ NOT recommended for particleboard, MDF, HDF or very hard exotic wood. For these materials, specify the HW (K40) variant when ordering.
-
HW (K40) variant on softwood: requires a constant feed – letting the rotating cutter dwell on resinous species can cause local burning.
📊 COMPATIBILITY BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Softwood (Fir, Spruce, Pine, Linden)
100%
Excellent: optimal performance, the cutter works efficiently and durably.
Hardwood (Beech, Light Oak)
75%
Good: efficient processing, but requires more frequent maintenance (sharpening or cooling).
Exotic / Very Hard / Oily Wood
Below 60%
Wood that is too hard or oily leads to rapid wear of the HSS M2 cutter.
💡 Recommendation: for exotic or very hard woods, HW (K40) carbide cutters are the more suitable choice. The cutter mounts on most standard spindle moulders.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:
-
Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, mask or respirator filter (fine wood dust) and hearing protection for prolonged work.
-
Follow the set's mounting order: the 8 cutters and 4 spacer rings must be mounted exactly in the order shown in the technical drawing – a wrong order changes the final profile and may unbalance the assembly.
-
Check the fastening of the entire stack and the tightening of the spindle nut before starting the machine.
-
Observe the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM to avoid vibration or the risk of edge breakage.
-
Resharpening: we recommend having it done at a specialized center to preserve the profile geometry and the original cutting angle on all 8 pieces.
