Professional Cutter Set for 40 mm Solid Wood Interior Doors
Cutter set for solid wood doors with glass, featuring a profile for a decorative joint (Soft-line type). This technology creates a fine line at the tenon-mortise joint, giving a refined, three-dimensional appearance. The decorative profile accommodates the natural movement of the wood at the joint, effectively masking micro-cracks that may appear over time due to humidity variations, keeping the door looking impeccable in the long term.

✅ ADVANTAGES OF THE HSS M2 SET:
- Extra-Fine Cut: HSS M2 steel offers a much sharper cutting edge than HW (K40) carbide, resulting in smooth surfaces that require minimal sanding.
- Thermal Groove System: the cutter geometry creates a fine groove at the stile-and-rail tenon joint with a dual role – decorative (the visible contour at the corner gives a more refined, 3D appearance) and functional (the expansion channel needed at the joint for long-term door stability).
- Easy Resharpening: thanks to the HSS material, the cutters can be resharpened multiple times, ideally at a specialised centre, without losing their cutting properties.
- Perfect Balance: robust body made of treated steel, designed for low vibration at high speeds.
- Flexible Configuration: choose 8 from the available profiles, depending on your project, plus the spacer ring for fine adjustment on the spindle.
⚠️ LIMITATIONS IN USE (HSS M2 VERSION):
- Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ We DO NOT recommend the HSS version for particleboard, MDF, HDF or very hard exotic wood.
- Correct Solution: for composite materials or demanding applications, choose the version with HW (K40) inserts.
📊 COMPATIBILITY BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Excellent: clean white finish, no burning on the grain, minimal sanding required.
Good: quality finish, but the cutting edge wears faster than on softwood.
Synthetic binders or high hardness wear the HSS cutting edge prematurely.
💡 For hardwoods processed constantly or for MDF/particleboard/HDF/laminated panels, the equivalent version with HW (K40) inserts is also available, much more resistant to the abrasive wear of these materials. Note: HW (K40) requires a constant feed – letting it dwell in softwood can cause burning on the grain.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against flying chips), a respirator mask or filter (fine wood dust) and hearing protection for extended work.
- Keep hands and fingers clear: keep a safe distance from the cutting area and use feed/push devices where possible; never reach near the cutters while they are moving.
- Follow the set's assembly order: the selected profiles and the spacer ring must be mounted exactly in the order and orientation shown on the technical drawing – a wrong order changes the final profile (including the thermal groove) and can unbalance the assembly at 9,000 RPM.
- Check the mounting of the whole stack (cutters + ring) and that the spindle nut is fully tightened before starting the machine.
- Do not exceed the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM, to avoid vibration or the risk of edge breakage.
