The Block House cutter set is designed for producing log cabin effect paneling – the semicircular convex profile that gives wooden walls the authentic and decorative appearance of round logs. Each set is produced entirely to order, according to the dimensions and configuration desired by the workshop, adapted directly to the client's machine.

🔧 WHAT THE SET CONSISTS OF:

Concave Semicircular Cutter: produces the main convex profile of the board – the visible face that imitates the round log. The profile radius is set according to the chosen board width.
Side Tongue and Groove Cutters: produce the joint between boards – available with a square (classic) or tapered/trapezoidal tongue (more resistant to lateral pull). Tongue depth and thickness are configured on request.
Back Grooving Cutter: machines the longitudinal channels on the back of the paneling, with a double role: they prevent the board from warping/twisting over time and allow air circulation between board and wall (ventilation).

📐 AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS – EXAMPLE PARAMETERS:

Below are some standard configurations as a starting point. Any combination of parameters can be adapted on request – see the attached technical drawings for each variant.

Width 90 mm: small profile, ideal for interiors, thin boards, quick installation. Square tongue and groove joint.
Width 120 mm: the most used width in standard Block House paneling production. Available with square or tapered tongue.
Width 140 – 160 mm: medium-wide profile, recommended for exterior façades where the log visual effect should be more pronounced.
Width 180 – 200 mm: wide profile, for representative buildings or imitation of large-diameter logs. Increased joint depth, tapered tongue recommended for pull resistance.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:

Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, dust mask or respirator (fine wood dust) and ear protection during prolonged work.
Watch your hands and fingers: when machining long boards use push sticks and guides; do not guide the workpiece by hand close to the cutters.
Check the mounting of the cutters on the spindle and that the nut is fully tightened before starting.
Resharpening: HSS M2 inserts can be resharpened at a specialized center to keep the original profile; incorrect resharpening changes the geometry and ruins the joint.
