Set of 3 Adjustable Rounding / Chamfering Cutters 20–50 mm – HSS M2 | Code FRT2050
Complete set of 3 bore-type cutters with spacer rings, brazed with HSS M2, designed for rounding and chamfering the edges of boards of variable thickness. The set contains one wide rebate cutter (straightens/aligns the board) and 2 double-profile cutters — chamfer on one side, rounding on the other. The spacer rings are mounted between the cutters to adjust the working thickness, covering a range from 20 mm to 50 mm.

✨ ADVANTAGES:
-
2 Operations, One Cutter: each side cutter has a double profile — chamfer on one side, rounding on the other — no need for separate tools for chamfering and edge rounding.
-
Wide Range 2–50 mm: the spacer rings allow fine adjustment of the working thickness, covering almost any common board thickness in the workshop.
-
Wide Rebate Cutter Included: straightens and aligns the board, completing the set for a correct profile across the full width, with no extra purchases.
-
HSS M2 – Clean Finish: the brazed cutting edge leaves a smooth surface, without burn marks, ready for finishing.
-
Bore with Reducing Bushing: Ø40 mm standard, adaptable to Ø30 mm — compatible with both spindle sizes.
-
Long-Term Investment: the tips can be resharpened repeatedly; when heavily worn, the cutter body can be re-tipped.
🛠️ HOW TO ADJUST THE WORKING THICKNESS:
Mount the spacer rings between the 3 cutters to adjust the total height of the stack on the spindle. By adding or removing rings, you cover the entire range from 20 to 50 mm, matching the set exactly to the thickness of the board you are machining.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS (HSS):
-
❌ NOT recommended for chipboard, MDF, HDF or very hard exotic wood. Intended exclusively for natural solid wood.
-
Follow the mounting order of the parts and rings according to the technical drawing – a wrong order changes the final profile.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:
-
Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, mask or respirator filter (fine wood dust) and hearing protection during prolonged work.
-
Check the clamping of the entire stack (cutters + rings) and that the spindle nut is fully tightened before starting.
-
Follow the mounting order of the 3 cutters and spacer rings – a wrong order unbalances the assembly and can cause dangerous vibrations.
-
Use feed/push devices when machining short pieces — keep your hands away from the cutting zone.
-
Resharpening: we recommend having it done at a specialized service, to preserve the double profile geometry (chamfer/rounding) on each cutter.
