Molding Cutter Set – HSS M2 Premium
A set of profiled cutters for creating classic moldings on solid wood – the smooth and precise profile obtained is ideal for mirror frames, door casings, decorative elements for classic furniture, or any application where refinement matters. The HSS M2 cutting edge leaves the surface perfectly smooth after milling, ready for stain or varnish, significantly reducing manual sanding time.

🚀 PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE:
- Classic Molding Profile: precise and fluid geometry, ideal for frames, casings, decorative elements for classic furniture, and any application requiring an elegant and well-proportioned profile.
- Finish Direct from Milling: the HSS M2 cutting edge leaves the surface smooth and ready for stain or varnish – significantly reduced sanding time compared to standard cutters.
- HSS M2 Silver (Ag) Brazed Edge: high mechanical resistance to shocks, without the risk of burning wood fibers, even on more demanding species.
- Suitable for Table Router and Hobby CNC: optimized geometry for controlled feed, manual or mechanized.
- Long-Term Investment: the inserts can be successively resharpened at a specialized center, and in case of advanced wear, the cutter body can be rebrazed with new inserts.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS (HSS M2 VERSION):
- Exclusive Use: this version is intended exclusively for processing natural solid wood.
- Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ NOT recommended for use on chipboard, MDF, HDF, or exotic wood! The synthetic binder prematurely wears out the high-speed steel cutting edge.
- Correct Alternative: for engineered wood products or very hard woods, request the version with T.C.T. carbide inserts.
📊 COMPATIBILITY GRADE BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Softwood (Spruce, Fir, Pine) 100%
Excellent: impeccable finish, no burns, surface ready for varnishing directly.
Hardwood (Beech, Oak, Ash) 80%
Good: efficient results, blade wear is faster than on softwoods.
Chipboard / MDF / HDF / Laminated Not Recommended
The synthetic binder prematurely wears out the HSS cutting edge.
💡 For constant processing of hardwoods or engineered panels, the equivalent version with T.C.T. carbide inserts is also available.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES IN USE:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against projected chips), mask or respiratory filter (fine wood dust), and earmuffs for prolonged work.
- Attention to hands and fingers: maintain a safe distance from the cutting area and use feed/push devices where possible; do not manually intervene near a moving cutter.
- Check the cutter's secure fastening on the spindle and the complete tightening of the nut before starting the machine.
- Respect the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM, to avoid vibrations or the risk of blade breakage.
- Resharpening: we recommend having resharpening done at a specialized center to maintain the original attack angle of the cutting edge.
