✨ ADVANTAGES OF Z2 CONFIGURATION:
- Superior Finish vs. Z1: The two cutting edges share the cutting load — the groove surface is smoother, with minimal tear-out, directly usable without further sanding.
- Balance and Stability: The symmetrical Z2 configuration reduces vibrations during operation, protecting the router's bearings and extending the tool's lifespan.
- Consistent Feed in Dense Materials: The two cutting edges allow for a more uniform and faster feed in hardwood, MDF, or chipboard compared to a Z1 bit.
- T.C.T. Carbide – Durability on Abrasive Materials: The cemented carbide resists both solid wood and derived panels with synthetic binders (MDF, chipboard, plywood), without the rapid wear typical of high-speed steel.
- Two Shank Variants: Ø6 mm and Ø8 mm for compatibility with standard collets of most routers and CNCs.
📊 MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY
MDF / Chipboard / HDF / Plywood (composite materials) 100%
Excellent: cemented carbide resists abrasive synthetic binders, clean edge without chipping.
Hard Solid Wood (Oak, Beech, Ash) 100%
Excellent: Z2 ensures a smooth finish in hardwoods, significantly reducing the need for sanding.
Soft Solid Wood (Spruce, Pine, Lime) 90%
Very good: excellent results, but for softwoods, a Z1 bit evacuates sawdust faster at great depths.
⚠️ USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Successive Passes for Deep Grooves: for deep grooves (over 10 mm), work in steps of 4–6 mm per pass — this protects the bit body from excessive lateral pressure and ensures a uniform finish.
- Moderate and Constant Feed: avoid jerky movements or forced pushing — let the bit's speed work with a linear, uniform feed.
- Clean the Groove Between Passes: for deep or clogged grooves, remove accumulated sawdust to prevent overheating of the cutting edge.
