Professional bore cutter with a concave profile (curved inwards, in the shape of a groove), also known as a hollower or rounding cutter — used to create a convex profile (curved outwards) on wood: uniform and elegant roundings and half-round moldings. Available in a wide range of radii, from R4 to R60 mm, and in HSS M2 Premium and T.C.T. Carbide variants — select the material, radius, and bore from the menu.

🔧 MAIN FEATURES:

  • Efficient Machining: the concave profile of the cutter produces a uniform and aesthetic convex result on wood, across the entire R4–R60 mm radius range.
  • Durable Blades: 4 brazed teeth made of HSS M2 or T.C.T. Carbide, resistant to intensive use.
  • T.C.T. Carbide for Composites: metallic carbide inserts resist the abrasive wear of synthetic binders in MDF, chipboard, and HDF, where HSS would wear prematurely.
  • High Precision: ideal for fine details and decorative work.
  • Versatility: suitable for furniture, frames, panels, or hobby projects.
  • Long-Term Investment: inserts can be successively resharpened at a specialized center (to maintain the attack angle), and in case of advanced wear, the cutter body can be re-brazed with new inserts.
  • Black Oxide Finish: the cutter steel is treated with black oxidation (bluing), a treatment that gives it its characteristic black color and additional protection against corrosion.
  • Compatible with Classic Table Routers and 4-Sided Machines: mounts on both classic table routers with spindles and 4-sided machines, for flexible integration into the workshop's production flow.

⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS:

  • HSS M2 variant: ❌ NOT recommended for use on chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood. For these materials, select the T.C.T. Carbide variant.
  • Carbide variant on soft wood: requires constant feed – stopping in rotation on resinous woods can cause local burns.

  2. T.C.T. Carbide – for composites and intensive production: mandatory for MDF, chipboard, HDF, or abrasive exotic/composite woods, where it lasts much longer than HSS without resharpening.
  3. Simple Configuration: choose the Material (HSS/Carbide), Radius (R4–R60) suitable for your project, and Spindle Bore according to the flange of the machine used in the workshop.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES DURING USE:

  • Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against projected chips), mask or respirator filter (fine wood dust), and earmuffs for prolonged work.
  • Attention to hands and fingers: maintain a safe distance from the cutting area and use feed/push devices where possible; do not manually intervene near the moving cutter.
  • Check the fastening of the cutter and spacer rings on the spindle before starting the machine.
  • Respect the recommended speed indicated for each cutter, to avoid vibrations or the risk of blade breakage.
