Professional Groove Cutter with Pre-cutter Knife – Ø125 mm | Thickness 12 mm | Tungsten Carbide Tipped

This cutter is specially designed for creating wide and clean grooves in solid wood, chipboard, MDF, or composite materials. Equipped with a pre-cutter knife, this cutter ensures precise cuts, free from splinters or fiber tear-out, even when working across the grain.

With a diameter of 125 mm and a working thickness of 12 mm, the cutter is fitted with 6 high-quality tungsten carbide (vidia) knives (3 on each side), arranged to provide stable and uniform cutting, reducing vibrations and extending the tool's lifespan.

✅ Key Features:

Integrated pre-cutter for clean edges and an impeccable finish

6 tungsten carbide-tipped knives (3 on each side) for fast and durable cutting

Compatible with vertical routers and industrial/semi-professional machinery

This cutter is the ideal choice for professional carpenters who prioritize speed, precision, and finish quality. Perfect for door grooves, hinge recesses, joinery, or deep channels.

Compatibility:

Tungsten Carbide (Widia) Cutter Compatibility Explanations (%):

92–85%: Exceptional performance, the cutter works efficiently with a long lifespan, even under intense use.

84–70%: Very good processing, but minor adjustments may be necessary, such as feed rate or using coolant to prevent overheating.

70%: Wood is extremely abrasive (e.g., very hard species or high silica content), which can accelerate blade wear, although durability remains superior to HSS cutters.

Recommendation: For the hardest wood species (exotic, high-density, or rich in mineral resins), Widia cutters are the ideal solution due to their high hardness (85–92 HRC / 1600–1800 HV Vickers), offering exceptional resistance to wear and high temperatures.
