🔧 45° CHAMFERING CUTTER – 20 mm | HSS M2 or Widia Blades
Achieve a perfect, clean, and precise edge with this 45° chamfering cutter, specially designed for fine work in solid wood.
✔️ Technical Specifications:
- Chamfering angle: 45°
- Cutting thickness: 20 mm
- Blade fixing: brazed, non-removable
- Compatibility: universal for most spindle moulders
🔧 Choose the right variant:
🎯 HSS (High-Speed Steel with Tungsten)
- Recommended for precise chamfering in furniture, decorative frames, or solid wood
- Fine, clean cut, without vibrations
- Highly efficient in processing soft and hard woods
- Suitable for carpentry workshops or semi-industrial applications
- Robust, dynamically balanced body
💎 WIDIA (Tungsten Carbide)
- Excellent wear resistance, ideal for MDF, chipboard, exotic or hard wood
- Maintains sharpness even after thousands of meters of processing
- No burning during cutting, perfect for high feed rates
- Consistent performance at high speeds - 6000 rpm
- The ideal solution for industrial workshops or professional manufacturers
HSS COMPATIBILITY:
The cutter can be mounted on most standard milling machines, being suitable for both manual work and CNC machines with moderate feed rates.

HSS M2 Compatibility Explanations (%):
• 90–80%: Optimal performance, the cutter works efficiently and durably.
• 79–60%: Good processing, but requires maintenance (sharpening or cooling).
• <60%: The wood is too hard or oily, leading to rapid wear of the HSS M2 cutter.
Recommendation: For exotic or very hard woods, carbide cutters (Widia) would be a more suitable choice.
WIDIA COMPATIBILITY:

Compatibility Explanations (%) for carbide cutters (Widia):
• 92–85%: Exceptional performance, the cutter works efficiently, with a long lifespan even under intensive use.
• 84–70%: Very good processing, but minor adjustments may be necessary, such as feed rate or using a coolant to prevent overheating.
• 70%: The wood is extremely abrasive (e.g., very hard species or high silica content), which can accelerate blade wear, although durability remains superior to HSS cutters.
✅ Recommendation: For the hardest wood species (exotic, high-density, or rich in mineral resins), Widia cutters are the ideal solution due to their high hardness (85…92 HRC / 1600 – 1800 HV Vickers), offering exceptional resistance to wear and high temperatures.
