⚙️ QUICK GUIDE FOR VARIANT CONFIGURATION
To ensure optimal performance on your machine, correctly select the cutting edge material and direction of rotation (working position):
- Right Rotation (Processing Above): Recommended when the cutter attacks the material positioned above the workpiece, offering direct visibility of the edge.
- Left Rotation (Processing Below): Used for working underneath the workpiece, a method that provides increased safety and excellent chip evacuation by gravity.
- HSS M2 Premium Blade: Ideal exclusively for natural wood (soft and hard species). Leaves a perfectly smooth surface, without burn marks.
- T.C.T. Carbide Blade: Mandatory for MDF, chipboard, HDF, laminates, or composite materials with abrasive adhesives.
DYNAMIC PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE
- High-Precision Chamfering: The 45° angle is computer-ground to ensure perfect corner joints or completely uniform decorative bevels along the entire panel.
- Robust Z4 Configuration: The 4 active cutting edges evenly distribute the cutting effort. This completely eliminates shocks, reduces vibrations transmitted to the machine's spindle, and increases the feed rate.
- Industrial Brazing Technology: Carbide variants are brazed with high-performance brass alloy (Cu-Zn), and HSS variants with a special silver alloy (Ag). Both methods guarantee extreme resistance to high centrifugal forces.
- Long-Term Investment: Although the inserts are fixed (brazed), the generous body allows for multiple successive regrinds, maintaining the 45° profile intact for thousands of linear meters of work.
🛠️ Material Selection Guide: HSS vs. T.C.T. Carbide
The correct choice of cutting edge material directly influences the finish quality and tool lifespan:
| Material Processed | HSS M2 Premium (6.5% Tungsten) |
T.C.T. Carbide ⭐ (Metallic Carbides) |
|---|---|---|
| Softwood (Spruce, Fir, Pine) |
⭐ 100% (Flawless Finish) |
❌ Risk of burning (High friction) |
| Hardwood (Beech, Oak, Ash) |
80% (Efficient) |
⭐ 100% (Maximum resistance) |
| MDF / Chipboard / HDF / Composite | Not recommended (Instant wear) | ⭐ 100% (Optimal / Resists adhesives) |
| Blade Material Hardness | 64 – 66 HRC | 85 – 92 HRC |
✅ Final recommendations for purchase:
- Correct Direction Selection: Make sure you select the correct variant (Right or Left) correlated with the rotation direction of your machine's spindle and the attack position (above or below the wood).
- Bore Configuration: By default, the cutter comes with a Ø30 mm bore. If you require Ø35 or Ø40 mm dimensions, please specify this in the order notes field or contact our technical team.
