This high-performance router bit is specifically designed for creating clean and precise grooves in a variety of materials – from solid wood to engineered panels.
✅ Advantages:
➤ Fine, precise, and consistent cut
➤ Easy to resharpen (HSS version)
➤ Low risk of burning on natural wood
➤ Suitable for traditional carpentry workshops and hobby CNC
⚠️ Usage Limitations:
❌ We do not recommend the HSS version for chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood
❌ For composite materials or demanding applications, choose the version with Carbide inserts
🛠️ Selection Guide: HSS vs. CARBIDE (Brazed Tools)
Material selection depends not only on wood hardness but also on how the cutting edge interacts with the grain. Our brazed router bits are optimized for stationary machines and CNC, but their performance varies drastically depending on the processed wood species.

✅ Purchase conclusions:
- Standard HSS: Exclusively very soft wood species (Spruce, Fir, Pine, Linden). Economical, fine cut.
- HSS M2: The "king" of softwoods. Guarantees impeccable white finish without burns. Also works on Oak/Beech for a mirror finish, but wears faster.
- Carbide (CMS): Mandatory for hard/exotic wood species (Oak, Beech, Mahogany) and derivatives (MDF, Chipboard, Laminated). Resists thousands of meters without sharpening.
⚠️ Attention: Carbide requires constant feed rate. If you dwell at rotation on soft wood, burning is guaranteed.
