This high-performance cutter is specifically designed for creating clean and precise grooves in a wide range of materials – from solid wood to engineered panels.
✅ Advantages:
➤ Fine, precise, and consistent cut
➤ Easy to resharpen (HSS version)
➤ Low risk of burning on natural wood
➤ Suitable for traditional carpentry workshops and hobby CNC
⚠️ Limitations in use:
❌ We do not recommend the HSS version for chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood
❌ For composite materials or demanding applications, choose the version with Carbide inserts
🛠️ Selection Guide: HSS vs. CARBIDE (Brazed Tools)
Material choice depends not only on wood hardness but also on how the cutting edge interacts with the grain. Our brazed cutters are optimized for stationary and CNC machines, but their performance varies drastically depending on the processed wood species.

✅ Conclusions for purchase:
- Working with Spruce, Fir, or Pine? Go straight for HSS M2. It is the only one that guarantees immaculate white wood, without black burn marks, thanks to its extremely sharp edge that "shaves" the fibers.
- Working with Oak, Beech, or layered wood? Choose Carbide. The temperature resistance of cemented carbide allows it to cut hard woods for thousands of linear meters without needing sharpening.
- Speed and Feed: Remember that brazed cutters with Carbide require a constant feed. If you stop with the rotating cutter on soft wood, burning is guaranteed.
