The choice of material depends not only on wood hardness but also on how the cutting edge interacts with the grain. Our brazed router bits are optimized for stationary and CNC machines, but their performance varies drastically depending on the wood type being processed.

✅ Purchase Conclusions:

• Standard HSS: Exclusively for very soft woods (Spruce, Fir, Pine, Linden). Economical, fine finish.
• HSS M2: The "king" of softwoods. Guarantees immaculate white without burns. Also works on Oak/Beech for a mirror finish, but wears out faster.
• Carbide (CMS): Mandatory for hard/exotic woods (Oak, Beech, Mahogany) and derivatives (MDF, Particleboard, Laminate). Resists thousands of meters without sharpening.

⚠️ Attention: Carbide requires constant feed rate. If you stop rotating on softwood, burning is guaranteed.
