🚀 PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE:
- Classic Molding Profile: precise and fluid geometry, ideal for frames, casings, decorative elements of classic furniture, and any application requiring an elegant and well-proportioned profile.
- Finish Directly from Milling: the HSS M2 cutting edge leaves the surface smooth and ready for stain or lacquer – significantly reduced sanding time compared to standard cutters.
- HSS M2 Cutting Edge Brazed with Silver (Ag): high mechanical resistance to impacts, without the risk of burning wood fibers, even with more demanding wood species.
- Suitable for Table Routers and Hobby CNC: optimized geometry for controlled, manual or mechanized feed.
- Long-Term Investment: inserts can be successively resharpened at a specialized center, and in case of advanced wear, the cutter body can be re-brazed with new inserts.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS (HSS M2 VERSION):
- Exclusive Use: this version is intended exclusively for processing natural solid wood.
- Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ NOT recommended for use on particleboard, MDF, HDF, or exotic wood! The synthetic binder prematurely wears the high-speed steel cutting edge.
- Correct Alternative: for engineered wood products or very hard wood species, request the version with T.C.T. carbide inserts.
📊 COMPATIBILITY LEVEL BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Softwood (Spruce, Fir, Pine) 100%
Excellent: impeccable finish, no burns, surface ready for direct varnishing.
Hardwood (Beech, Oak, Ash) 80%
Good: efficient results, blade wear is faster than on softwoods.
Particleboard / MDF / HDF / Plywood Not Recommended
The synthetic binder prematurely wears the HSS cutting edge.
💡 For constant processing of hardwoods or engineered wood panels, the equivalent version with T.C.T. carbide inserts is also available.
🦺 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against projected chips), mask or respirator (fine wood dust), and earmuffs for prolonged work.
- Attention to hands and fingers: maintain a safe distance from the cutting area and use push devices/sticks where possible; do not manually intervene near the moving cutter.
- Check the cutter's fixation on the spindle and the complete tightening of the nut before starting the machine.
- Respect the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM, to avoid vibrations or the risk of blade breakage.
- Resharpening: we recommend resharpening at a specialized center to maintain the original cutting angle of the blade.
