Why choose the SolGrat HSS Premium Paneling Set?
- "Auto-Adaptive" Profile (14 - 25 mm) – The intelligent edge geometry allows processing of any wood thickness between 14 and 25 mm without the need for spacer rings. Simply adjust the spindle height and you're ready to go, saving valuable setup time.
- "Smart-Fit" Geometry with Expansion Gap – The profile is specifically designed with a precision tolerance (gap) behind the tongue. This technical detail prevents the joint from jamming due to wood chips or glue and allows the wood to move naturally without cracking, ensuring a much easier installation.
- Elegant Bevel Finish – These cutters create a precise and clean bevel (oblique profile), providing the paneling with a premium, uniform visual appeal across the entire processed surface.
- High-Performance HSS M2 Edge – The superior High-Speed Steel (HSS) plating guarantees an extremely sharp edge that won't tear the wood fibers, leaving a finished surface ready for lacquering or painting.
- Industrial Stability (D130 mm) – The robust and balanced body eliminates vibrations during cutting, ensuring silent operation and a significantly longer tool life compared to standard cutters.
- Universal Compatibility – With a standard 30 mm bore, this set is ideal for any stationary spindle moulder or shaper, making it an essential tool for any workshop producing quality wood paneling.
⚠️ Usage Limitations:
- ❌ Not recommended for Chipboard (PAL), MDF, HDF, or extremely hard exotic woods.
- ❌ For composite materials or high-demand applications, choose our Carbide (Vidia) version.
🛠️ Selection Guide: HSS vs. CARBIDE (Brazed Tools)
The choice of material depends not only on the hardness of the wood but also on how the edge interacts with the fiber. Our brazed cutters are optimized for stationary machines and CNCs, but performance varies drastically based on the species processed.

✅ Buyer's Conclusion:
- Standard HSS: Exclusively for very soft species (Spruce, Fir, Pine, Lime). Economic, fine edge.
- HSS M2: The "King" of softwoods. Guarantees a pristine white finish without burns. Also works on Oak/Beech for a mirror finish, but wears out faster.
- Carbide (Vidia/CMS): Mandatory for hardwoods/exotic species (Oak, Beech, Mahogany) and wood derivatives (MDF, Chipboard, Plywood). Lasts thousands of meters without sharpening.
- ⚠️ Warning: Carbide requires a constant feed rate. If held stationary while rotating on softwood, burning is guaranteed.
