Set of 2 Chamfered Panel Milling Cutters with Direct V-Joint (30°) – HSS M2 Premium | 16 – 26 mm
Professional set of 2 brazed monoblock HSS M2 cutters, designed for producing solid wood paneling with a chamfered (angled) profile and a direct 30° V-joint. Unlike the round profile, the chamfer creates a straight, geometric, angled line, and the two adjacent boards join directly at a 30° angle — without an intermediate gap, with continuous transition between panels.

✨ KEY FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES:
- Geometric, Modern Finish: the 30° chamfer creates a straight and angled line, appreciated in contemporary and minimalist interior design, unlike the classic appearance of the round profile.
- Direct V-Joint: the two adjacent boards join at a continuous 30° angle, without a visible gap or intermediate space — a smooth transition between panels.
- HSS M2 Premium (6.5% Tungsten): hardness of 64–66 HRC, excellent resistance to high temperatures during cutting and completely eliminates the risk of fiber tear-out in knot areas.
- Multi-Thickness 16–26 mm: thanks to the design with the straight cutting edge extended at the bottom, the cutters process different board thicknesses without structural modifications to the tool.
- Industrial Brazing with Silver (Ag): the teeth are fixed with a silver-based alloy, a method that effectively absorbs vibrations and prevents micro-cracks.
- Long-Term Investment: the inserts can be successively resharpened, and in case of advanced wear, the cutter body can be re-brazed with new inserts.
💡 Simple adjustment, no additional rings: because the straight lower part of the profile is extended, it is NOT necessary to add rings or spacer washers to change the material thickness. Switching from a thinner to a thicker board (16–26 mm) is done exclusively by adjusting the height of the spindle, the 30° joint angle remaining constant and perfectly correlated on the panel face.
⚠️ LIMITATIONS IN USE (HSS M2):
- Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ NOT recommended for use on chipboard, MDF, HDF or agglomerated materials – these exclusively require the T.C.T. carbide variant.
- Excellent on solid wood: spruce, fir, pine, linden, beech, oak, ash.
📊 COMPATIBILITY GRADE BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Softwood (Spruce, Fir, Pine, Linden) 100%
Excellent: immaculate white finish, no burns – the ideal choice for spruce, fir or pine paneling.
Hardwood (Beech, Oak, Ash) 80%
Good: efficient results, blade wear is faster than on softwoods.
Chipboard / MDF / HDF / Laminated Not Recommended
Synthetic binder prematurely wears HSS blades.
🦺 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (projected chips), mask or respirator filter (fine wood dust) and ear protection for prolonged work.
- Beware of hands and fingers: when processing long paneling boards, use push sticks and guides; do not manually guide the workpiece near the cutter.
- Check the securement of the cutters on the spindle and the complete tightening of the nut before starting.
- Observe the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM.
- Resharpening: we recommend performing it at a specialized center to maintain the original profile geometry and the 30° joint angle.
