Set of 2 Round Profile Tongue and Groove Router Bits – Premium HSS M2 | 16 – 25 mm

Professional set of 2 brazed HSS M2 solid-body router bits, designed for producing tongue and groove solid wood paneling with a classic rounded profile. The geometric configuration ensures perfectly matched male and female (tongue and groove) joints, guaranteeing a clean, tight, and uniform joint along the entire length of the processed panel.

✨ KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  • Elegant and Uniform Finish: creates a fine rounded profile, appreciated in rustic and Scandinavian design, or in premium solid wood interior decorations.
  • Premium HSS M2 (6.5% Tungsten): 64–66 HRC hardness, excellent resistance to high temperatures during cutting, completely eliminates the risk of fiber tear-out in knotty areas.
  • Multi-Thickness 16–25 mm: thanks to the design with the straight cutting edge extended at the bottom, the router bits process different board thicknesses without structural modifications to the tool.
  • Industrial Brazing with Silver (Ag): the teeth are fixed with a silver-based alloy, a method that effectively absorbs vibrations and prevents micro-cracks.
  • Long-Term Investment: the inserts can be successively resharpened, and in case of advanced wear, the router bit body can be re-brazed with new inserts.
💡 Simple adjustment, no additional rings needed: Since the lower straight part of the profile is extended, NO additional rings or spacer washers are required to change the material thickness. Switching from a thinner to a thicker board (16–25 mm) is done exclusively by adjusting the arbor height, with the rounded profile remaining perfectly proportionate on the panel face.

⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS (HSS M2):

  • Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ Not recommended for use on chipboard, MDF, HDF, or agglomerated materials – these require exclusively the T.C.T. Vidia variant.
  • Excellent for solid wood: spruce, fir, pine, linden, beech, oak, ash.

📊 COMPATIBILITY GRADE BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)

Soft Wood (Spruce, Fir, Pine, Linden) 100%

Excellent: pristine white finish, no burns – the ideal choice for spruce, fir, or pine paneling.
Hard Wood (Beech, Oak, Ash) 80%

Good: efficient results, but cutting edge wear is faster than on softwoods.
Chipboard / MDF / HDF / Laminated Not Recommended

The synthetic binder prematurely wears out the HSS cutting edge.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES FOR USE:

  • Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (for chip projection), mask or respirator (fine wood dust), and ear protection for prolonged work.
  • Beware of hands and fingers: when processing long paneling boards, use push sticks and guides; do not guide the workpiece manually near the router bit.
  • Check the fastening of the router bits on the spindle and the full tightening of the nut before starting.
  • Respect the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM.
  • Resharpening: we recommend having it done at a specialized center to maintain the original profile geometry and cutting edge attack angle.
