45° Oblique Profile Paneling Cutter Set | Premium HSS M2
Set of 2 profiled cutters for creating paneling with an oblique profile (45° chamfered), where the joint between boards is finished directly at an angle – without a visible gap between them. The chamfered profile provides an elegant and authentic look, suitable for indoor or outdoor paneling, linings, and decorative solid wood panels. Available in variants for a single-spindle table router (D130 mm) and for four-sided planers (D140 mm / D160 mm), each in an up chamfer (UC) or down chamfer (DC) version.

📐 SELECTION GUIDE – WHICH VARIANT TO CHOOSE:
- D130 mm – Single-Spindle Table Router: standard variant for classic table routers with a vertical spindle. Standard Ø30 mm bore.
- D140 mm / D160 mm – 4-Sided Planers: larger diameters are calculated for the specific speeds and feeds of 4-sided planers. Standard Ø40 mm bore.
- UC (Up Chamfer): the workpiece advances with the visible face upwards; the cutter works from bottom to top. Suitable for machines where the paneling slides on the table with the visible face up.
- DC (Down Chamfer): the workpiece advances with the visible face downwards; the cutter works from top to bottom. Suitable for machines where the paneling is pressed from above.
- Other Dimensions or Configurations: for special modifications of diameter, bore, or profile angle, contact our team before ordering.
- Other Dimensions or Configurations: for special modifications of diameter, bore or profile angle, please contact our team before placing your order.
🔹 Each variant comes with a specific technical drawing – you can find it by selecting the desired variant from the menu.
🚀 FEATURES AND PERFORMANCE:
- Direct 45° Oblique Profile at the Joint: the cutter profiles the edge of the board so that when two paneling boards are joined, a continuous and elegant chamfer is created, with no visible gap between them.
- Elegant and Uniform Finish: the precise chamfered profile ensures a smooth surface, ready for varnishing or painting, without the need for intensive additional sanding.
- HSS M2 Blade Brazed with Silver (Ag): high mechanical resistance, clean cuts without tearing wood fibers, even on more demanding wood species.
- Long-Term Investment: the inserts can be successively re-sharpened at a specialized center, and in case of advanced wear, the cutter body can be re-brazed with new inserts.
🔹 Ideal for interior and exterior paneling, linings, decorative panels, and any application where an oblique profile at the joint gives a premium look to the finished surface.
⚠️ LIMITATIONS IN USE (HSS M2):
- Exclusive Purpose: this variant is intended exclusively for processing natural solid wood.
- Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ NOT recommended for use on chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood! The synthetic binder prematurely wears out the high-speed steel blade.
- Exotic or Very Hard Woods: for high-density wood species, HSS blade wear is faster — more frequent resharpening will be required.
📊 COMPATIBILITY RATING BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES IN USE:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against projected chips), mask or respirator (fine wood dust), and ear protection for prolonged work.
- Beware of hands and fingers: when processing long paneling boards, use push sticks and guides; do not manually guide the workpiece near the cutter.
- Check the fastening of the cutters on the spindle and the complete tightening of the nut before starting the machine.
- Respect the recommended RPM (6,000 – 9,000 RPM) to avoid vibrations or blade damage.
- Resharpening: we recommend resharpening at a specialized center to maintain the 45° angle and the original geometry of the profile.
