Pilana 400 mm Monometal Circular Saw Blade – 56 Set KV Teeth
Classic Pilana monometal blade, made from heat-treated alloy tool steel, with 56 set and sharpened KV teeth, without carbide tips. Designed for fast primary cutting of solid wood, firewood, and construction timber, on table saws, chop saws, or construction site machinery. Available in three body thickness variants, depending on machine power and cutting type.

🚀 WHY CHOOSE A MONOMETAL BLADE:
- Resistant to Impurities: monometal steel does not risk tip detachment upon contact with sand, residual mortar, extremely hard knots, or reclaimed wood – a clear advantage over TCT blades in harsh working conditions.
- Set KV Tooth: alternately bent teeth create a wider kerf than the blade body, eliminating lateral friction and preventing binding in wet wood or thick beams.
- Simple and Inexpensive Resharpening: can be resharpened with a file and re-set with pliers, without specialized centers or costly equipment – virtually unlimited lifespan.
- Pilana Quality: alloy tool steel, heat-treated to maintain tooth sharpness under load; a brand with a tradition in producing blades for wood.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS:
- Rough Finish: the resulting cut is rough, for dimensioning – requires planing or further processing where a fine surface is desired.
- Particleboard / MDF / Melamine / Composites: ❌ not recommended – causes major chipping and rapid tooth wear.
- 3.0 mm variant and small motors: thick body puts more strain on the motor – do not use the heavy-duty variant on low-power single-phase saws.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES IN USE:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, mask or respirator (wood dust), earmuffs, and cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade.
- Beware of kickback: ensure the splitter is correctly mounted and the blade guard is in position. Maintain a constant and controlled feed rate – blades without anti-kickback fingers are aggressive.
- Securely fix the workpiece before cutting – an unfixed piece can be violently thrown.
- 3.0 mm variant on large machines: at 400 mm diameter and thick body, centrifugal force is significant – do not exceed the maximum permissible speed marked on the blade body.
- Check the condition of the teeth before use – uneven set, missing or cracked teeth can cause vibrations and kickback.
- Check the direction of rotation when mounting.
- For manual resharpening: wear gloves and safety glasses; maintain the original tooth angle when filing and re-set evenly to preserve cutting balance.
