Melamine-faced chipboard, finished MDF, quality plywood, laminated – where cut finish is critical |
💡 Important to note: WZ geometry (alternate top bevel tooth) is designed for cross-cutting. For ripping (longitudinal), the 40Z variant offers acceptable results, but for intensive ripping, we recommend a blade with FZ geometry (flat top tooth), dedicated to this type of cut.
⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS:
- Melamine-faced chipboard: possible fine chipping of the melamine layer at the entry or exit of the cut – for optimal results on melamine, use dedicated blades with negative hook angle or a double cutting guide.
- Dense MDF / HDF: blade wear is faster than on solid wood or raw chipboard, due to density and abrasive adhesives. The 40Z variant is not recommended for MDF.
- Intensive ripping (longitudinal): do not use the 72Z variant for ripping – fine teeth generate excessive heat in the longitudinal cut and can cause burns or deformation of the cut.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES FOR USE:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, mask or respirator (wood / chipboard / MDF dust), ear protection, and cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade.
- Beware of kickback: the main danger with circular saws. Do not force the feed, do not use a dull or worn blade, and ensure the splitter and guard are correctly installed.
- Do not exceed the maximum permissible speed marked on the blade body – excessively high speed can cause the blade to break.
- Check for correct installation: the direction of tooth rotation must match the direction of machine rotation; inverse installation causes violent kickback.
- Do not use blades with cracked, missing teeth, or a deformed body – immediately replace worn or damaged blades.
- Secure the workpiece before cutting – do not cut pieces held by hand without a guide or stop.
