✅ ADVANTAGES OF THE HSS M2 SET:
- Extra-Fine Cut: HSS M2 steel offers a much sharper cutting edge than carbide (Vidia), resulting in smooth surfaces that require minimal sanding.
- Thermal Joint System: the geometry of the router bits creates a fine groove at the vertical-to-horizontal tenon joint with a dual role – decorative (the visible contour at the corner gives a more refined, 3D appearance) and functional (the necessary expansion joint for stability of the door in the long term).
- Easy Resharpening: thanks to the HSS material, the router bits can be resharpened multiple times, ideally at a specialized center, without losing their cutting properties.
- Perfect Balance: robust body made of treated steel, designed for reduced vibrations at high speeds.
- Flexible Configuration: choose 8 from the available profiles, depending on your project, plus the spacer ring for fine adjustment on the spindle.
⚠️ LIMITATIONS IN USE (HSS M2 VERSION):
- Not Recommended for Composites: ❌ We DO NOT recommend the HSS version for chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood.
- Correct Solution: for composite materials or demanding applications, choose the version with T.C.T. Vidia inserts.
📊 COMPATIBILITY RATING BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
💡 For consistently processed hardwoods or for MDF/chipboard/HDF/laminated panels, the equivalent version with T.C.T. Vidia inserts is also available, much more resistant to the abrasive wear of these materials. Please note: Vidia requires constant feed – stopping rotation on softwood can cause burning on the grain.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES FOR USE:
- Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against projected chips), mask or respirator (fine wood dust), and earmuffs for prolonged work.
- Attention to hands and fingers: maintain a safe distance from the cutting area and use feed/push devices where possible; do not manually intervene near moving router bits.
- Observe the assembly order of the set: the selected profiles and the spacer ring must be mounted exactly in the order and orientation indicated by the technical drawing – an incorrect order alters the final profile (including the thermal joint) and can unbalance the assembly at 9,000 RPM.
- Check the fastening of the entire package (router bits + ring) and the tightening of the spindle nut before starting the machine.
- Do not exceed the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM to avoid vibrations or the risk of blade breakage.
