Set of 2 bore cutters made of HSS M2 high-speed steel for creating the complete Block House wall profile on industrial 4-sided machines. The cutters create a 2-tooth W-shaped lateral joint system (double tongue + double groove) – ensuring secure mechanical interlocking between boards, without gaps, specific to solid wood constructions for cabins and rustic houses. Board thickness 40–45 mm, standard bore Ø40 mm, outer diameter according to the attached technical drawing.

✨ ADVANTAGES AND FEATURES:

  • Complete Joint in a Single Pass: the 4-sided machine creates the W-joint system on both sides of the board in a single pass — maximum productivity, constant precision along the entire length.
  • W-Joint with 2 Teeth – Superior Mechanical Locking: the double tongue and double groove system provides a more solid mechanical lock compared to simple straight or V-shaped tongue-and-groove. Boards cannot separate laterally and do not leave gaps due to expansion/contraction.
  • HSS M2 64–66 HRC – Finish Ready for Treatment: the high-speed steel blade at 9,000 RPM leaves surfaces smooth, without burns or fiber tear-out — including on boards with knots, specific to construction timber.
  • Long-Term Investment: inserts can be successively resharpened; in case of advanced wear, the cutter body can be re-brazed with new inserts.

⚠️ LIMITATIONS IN USE (HSS M2):

  • ❌ Exclusively for natural solid wood – DO NOT use on chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood. Synthetic binder prematurely wears out the high-speed steel blade.
  • ❌ Exclusively for 4-sided machines, Ø40 mm bore – not compatible with classic table routers with Ø30 mm or Ø32 mm bore.
  • Maintain a constant and even feed rate — stopping the tool in the material generates burns on the flat surfaces of the profile, difficult to remedy without reprocessing.

Softwood for Construction (Fir, Spruce, Pine) 100%
Excellent: standard essence for wooden cabins and houses — white finish, no burns, ready for varnishing or treatment.
Hardwood (Oak, Beech, Ash, Acacia) 80%
Good: efficient results, blade wear is faster compared to softwoods — more frequent resharpening needed.
Chipboard / MDF / HDF / Plywood Not Recommended
Synthetic binder prematurely wears out HSS blade. For engineered wood panels, choose T.C.T. carbide version.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES IN USE:

  • Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, respiratory mask, and ear protection for prolonged work on 4-sided machines.
  • Check the cutters' fixation on the arbor and full tightening of nuts before starting — with thick boards of 40–45 mm, radial forces are significant.
  • Constant feed rate: do not stop the machine with the cutters in contact with the material — risk of burns on flat surfaces.
  • Resharpening: we recommend doing it at a specialized center to maintain the exact geometry of the W-joint profile.
