Concave (Quarter-Round) Bits – Roundover
- 🔹 Radii R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R8 (D14–D29 mm), Z2 – the concave edge leaves a rounded edge on the workpiece.
- 🔹 For worktops, stair treads, shelves, frames and furniture – removes sharp corners and prevents chipping.
Convex (Half-Round) Bits – Core Box Bits
- 🔹 R5 (D10 mm) and R6 (D12 mm), 8 mm shank, Z2 – cut a half-round groove.
- 🔹 For decorative flutes, juice grooves on chopping boards, routed finger pulls and cable channels.
Material
- HW (K40) – tungsten carbide – clean cut and long life.
Tip: for a fine finish, work in two passes – a roughing pass and a light final pass.
