Pilana HSS 18% W planer knife, 35×3 mm, for intensive hardwood processing on jointers and thickness planers. High-speed steel with 18% tungsten (1.3355 / T1) — the edge keeps its hardness at high temperatures and lasts much longer between sharpenings than DS steel.

⚠️ ATTENTION:

  • 💡 For softwood (spruce, fir, pine) Pilana DS is sufficient and more economical — HSS 18% W pays off on hardwood and high production volumes.
  • Always mount the complete set of knives on the cutterhead with even tightening — imbalance causes vibration and uneven planing.
