Pilana DS Planer Knife (Chrome Steel) – 35 mm Height | Czech Quality for Soft and Semi-Hard Wood

Pilana DS planer knife (chrome alloy steel), 35×3 mm, for workshops mainly processing softwood and semi-hard wood. A good balance of cost and performance — a basic tool for jointers and thickness planers. Shock-resistant, easier to sharpen than HSS, made by Pilana (Czech Republic).

  • Ready to mount: edge prepared at a standard angle, fits directly on the machine cutterhead.

⚠️ ATTENTION:

  • ❌ Not intended for hardwood — on oak, beech, ash or exotic species the DS edge wears quickly; for these we recommend Pilana HSS 18%W.
  • Always mount the complete set of knives on the cutterhead with even tightening — imbalance causes vibration and uneven planing.
