  • Self-Locking Joint in a Single Pass: produces the complementary male-female profile in one operation — large contact surface, perfect glue distribution, rigid angle fixing.
  • Wide Working Capacity: the profile allows efficient processing of parts of different thicknesses (25, 35 or 42 mm), depending on the selected version.
  • 2 Materials, 2 Best Uses: HSS M2 for a flawless finish on soft solid wood, T.C.T. carbide for maximum durability on MDF, particleboard and hardwoods.

⚠️ RECOMMENDATIONS AND USAGE LIMITATIONS:

  • HSS M2 version: ❌ NOT recommended for MDF, particleboard, HDF or very hard exotic wood — synthetic binders wear the high-speed steel edge prematurely. Intended for natural solid wood only.
  • T.C.T. carbide version on softwood: on very soft species (fir, spruce), keep a constant feed rate to avoid burn marks from local friction.

✅ Buying recommendations:
  1. Working mostly with MDF, particleboard or hard laminated panels? Choose the T.C.T. carbide version – the extreme hardness of tungsten carbide lets it cut composites without losing its edge to resins or the artificial density of the material.
  2. Working natural fir, spruce or pine? For soft solid wood, the HSS M2 Premium version has the edge — it cuts the fibre cleanly without crushing it, for a flawless look. If you will also be cutting MDF, stay with the carbide version.
  3. Speed and Constant Feed: carbide-tipped cutters need a constant feed rate; if the workpiece stops while the cutter is spinning at 6,000 RPM, the heat built up by friction can leave unsightly burn marks on natural wood.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:

  • Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, a respirator mask or filter (fine wood/MDF dust) and hearing protection for extended work.
  • Check the mounting of the cutter on the spindle and that the nut is fully tightened before starting.
  • Observe the recommended speed of 6,000 RPM to avoid vibration or damage to the cutting edge.
  • Use feed/push devices when working short parts — keep your hands away from the cutting zone.
  • Resharpening: we recommend having it done at a specialised service centre to preserve the Lock Miter profile geometry and the 45° angle.
