Oblique Chamfered Profile Paneling Cutter Set with Conical Joint (14–25 mm) | HSS M2
Set of 2 profiled cutters for creating paneling with a decorative oblique/chamfered profile and a conical joint — when two adjacent boards are installed, a visible gap of ~10 mm is created between them, characteristic of modern paneling with spacing. The profile is self-adaptable for wood thicknesses between 14–25 mm, adjustable solely by the machine spindle height, without spacer rings. Available in versions for a classic spindle moulder (D130, d30) and for 4-sided moulders (D160, d40).

📐 SELECTION GUIDE – WHICH VARIANT TO CHOOSE:
-
D130 mm / d30 / Z4 – Classic Spindle Moulder: standard variant for spindle moulders with one shaft. Ø30 mm bore standard; Ø35 mm or Ø40 mm on request.
-
D160 mm / d40 / Z6 – 4-Sided Moulders: the larger diameter and 6 teeth are calculated for the industrial speeds and feeds of 4-sided moulders. Ø40 mm bore standard.
-
Self-Adjusting 14–20 mm: no spacer rings needed — adjust solely by the machine spindle height for any board thickness within the working range.
-
Extended Lip on Female Cutter: allows paneling to be fixed with clamps or nails directly to the structure — convenient, fast, and secure. The conical joint with free space under the nail prevents blocking due to dust or chips.
🚀 PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE:
-
Visible ~10 mm Joint Gap: the conical profile of the cutter ensures that when two adjacent boards are installed, a regular visible gap of ~10 mm is formed — specific to the modern paneling style with spacing, providing a precise and uniform geometric appearance over the entire surface.
-
Finish Ready for Lacquering: the HSS M2 cutting edge at 9,000 RPM leaves a smooth, white surface, without burns or fiber tear-out — even with knotted woods.
-
CNC Dynamic Balancing: the cutter body is computer-machined for minimal vibration at idle, protecting the machine's spindle and bearings.
-
Long-Term Investment: inserts can be successively resharpened; with advanced wear, the cutter body can be re-brazed with new inserts.
⚠️ LIMITATIONS IN USE (HSS M2):
-
Exclusive Use – Natural Solid Wood: ❌ NOT recommended for use on chipboard, MDF, HDF, or very hard exotic wood! The synthetic binder prematurely wears out the high-speed steel cutting edge.
-
Exotic or Very Hard Woods: for high-density woods, HSS cutting edge wear is faster — resharpening will be more frequent.
📊 COMPATIBILITY GRADE BY MATERIAL TYPE (HSS M2)
Excellent: immaculate white finish, no burns – the ideal choice for spruce, fir, or pine paneling.
Good: effective results, cutting edge wear is faster than on softwoods.
Acceptable: accelerated cutting edge wear, more frequent resharpening required.
The synthetic binder prematurely wears out the HSS cutting edge.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES DURING USE:
-
Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses (against projected chips), mask or respirator filter (fine wood dust), and earmuffs for prolonged work.
-
Attention to hands and fingers: when machining long paneling boards, use push sticks and guides; do not guide the workpiece by hand near the cutter.
-
Check the secure fastening of the cutters on the spindle and full tightening of the nut before starting the machine.
-
Observe the recommended speed (9,000 RPM) to avoid vibrations or damage to the cutting edge.
-
Resharpening: we recommend having it done at a specialized center to preserve the original geometry of the conical profile.
