The TIREX-R branch shredder module, made in Voloka, Chernivtsi (Ukraine), is a shredding head without its own motor, designed to be mounted on a petrol or electric motor via a belt drive. Inside, a perfectly balanced Ø260 mm rotating disc carries 2 short Pilana-type knives — the same design principle used on planer machines — which shave the material on every revolution instead of tearing or jamming the branch. The result: stable, vibration-free operation, even with knotty branches.

✨ WHAT MAKES TIREX-R DIFFERENT:

Balanced Disc – Zero Vibration: the 260 mm internal disc is dynamically balanced, so the module runs steadily on any frame, without jumping or shaking hard like cheap hammer-type models.
2 Pilana DS Knives, Not Generic Steel: the same type of knife used on professional planer machines — resharpenable, they do not chip on knots and cut cleanly instead of crushing the fibre.
Universal Belt Mounting: the 2-groove (B-section) pulley lets you mount the module on any petrol or electric motor of suitable power, turning it into a complete shredder built around the power source you already own.
Higher Capacity: a shredding diameter of up to 70 mm in green wood exceeds the standard version, suitable for thicker branches.

🌳 SUITABLE MATERIALS:

Ideal for fruit tree branches, grapevine and garden shrubs, from a few mm up to 70 mm when green (up to 50 mm when the wood is dry). Perfect for preparing material for mulching or composting — a professional-grade module designed to be integrated with the user's own motor (petrol or electric).

⚠️ USAGE LIMITATIONS:

❌ Do NOT feed MDF, particleboard, plastic or other composite materials — Pilana DS knives are designed for natural wood only; synthetic materials damage the cutting edge and can be dangerous when shredded.
Maximum diameter 70 mm (green) / 50 mm (dry): do not force thicker branches — the drive motor can overheat or jam.
Motor not included: requires a separate petrol or electric motor with compatible power and speed, plus a B-section drive belt matching the pulley.

🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:

❌ Do NOT wear gloves while working. It may seem counter-intuitive, but it is the correct advice for machines with a feed opening: a glove caught by the disc pulls the hand in with it. A bare hand that touches the danger zone reacts instinctively and pulls back — a glove does not.
Do not wear loose sleeves, scarves or dangling jewellery — anything that can catch on a branch and be pulled towards the feed opening (75×75 mm) must be strictly avoided.
Never put your hand into the feed opening to push a stuck branch — always use another branch or a stick to push the material.
Check the belt and pulley guard before starting — an exposed drive is an additional entanglement risk.
Wear safety glasses — wood chips can fly out during shredding.
Wear hearing protection during extended use, especially with a petrol drive motor.
Tie back long hair and do not lean over the feed opening.
Stop and disconnect the drive motor before changing the knives or clearing jammed material.
Keep children and animals at a distance during operation.
