Set of 4 Softline Frame & Panel (Rail & Stile) Cutters 20–24 mm – HSS M2
Professional set of 4 matched cutters for rail-and-stile (profile / counter-profile) joints on furniture doors and frames, working thickness 20–24 mm. The cutter geometry forms a fine decorative V-groove at the finished joint, adding visual elegance to furniture fronts and effectively masking the natural expansion and shrinkage of the wood. Brazed with HSS M2 Premium tips — a version with HW (K40) carbide tips is available on pre-order.

✨ PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE:
-
High-Precision Modular Assembly: the 4 industrially calibrated cutters allow perfect machining and fitting of frames, furniture doors and panels, with strong structural joints and no axial play or geometric deviation.
-
Fine Decorative V-Groove: the cutter geometry forms a fine V-shaped decorative channel at the final joint — extra visual elegance and effective masking of the wood's natural movement.
-
Professional HSS M2 Cutting Edge: HSS M2 tips (6% W · 5% Mo) cut softwood and hardwood fibres cleanly, leaving perfectly smooth profiles. For abrasive materials (MDF), the set can be ordered in the HW (K40) version.
-
Bore with Bushings Included: Ø32 mm standard with Ø30 mm reducing bushings included — production flexibility, with custom Ø40 or Ø50 mm bores available for heavy joinery machines.
⚠️ CUTTING MATERIAL SELECTION GUIDE:
✅ HSS M2 Premium: recommended for natural wood (fir, spruce, oak, beech, linden) – flawless finish, no torn fibres.
✅ HW (K40): recommended for raw or painted MDF, laminated particle boards and other wood-based panels.

✅ Practical tips for setup and use:
-
Workpiece thickness: the cutters adjust smoothly to cover the full 20–24 mm thickness range. Calibrate the machine carefully to keep the back of the doors perfectly flush.
-
Fitting the reducing bushings: when using a Ø30 mm spindle, make sure the supplied bushings are clean and fully seated in the cutter bores to eliminate any radial runout.
-
Constant cutting regime: keep a steady feed rate at 9,000 RPM. Do not let the tool dwell in the material, to avoid local burn marks on resinous or tannin-rich wood species.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:
-
Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, dust mask or respirator (fine wood dust) and hearing protection for prolonged work.
-
Follow the set's stacking order: the 4 cutters must be mounted exactly in the order shown on the technical drawing – the wrong order changes the final profile and can unbalance the stack.
-
Check the mounting of the whole stack and full tightening of the spindle nut before starting the machine.
-
Respect the recommended speed of 9,000 RPM to avoid vibration or risk of tip breakage.
-
Resharpening: we recommend a specialised service centre to preserve the profile geometry and the decorative V-groove.
