✨ WHY CHOOSE THIS DRUM WITH A WEDGE (CLAMP) SYSTEM?
Unlike models that rely on expensive single-use sleeves, this drum gives you complete freedom. You can use any abrasive paper from the roll, cut to size, reducing consumable costs by up to 70%.
-
Secure Clamping: the clamp system keeps the abrasive strip tensioned and in place during work, even at high speeds.
-
Versatility: ideal for solid wood, MDF, veneer or lacquered surfaces.
-
Adaptable Bore with Flanged Bushings: each variant comes with the matching reducing bushings (e.g. Ø40→Ø30 or Ø35→Ø30) for direct compatibility with your machine spindle.
📋 GRIT SELECTION GUIDE:
For best results, choose the right grit for your project:
-
P40 – P60 (Coarse): ideal for aggressive stock removal, stripping old paint or cleaning off glue residue.
-
P80 – P120 (Medium): recommended for rough sanding of solid wood and shaping curved parts.
-
P150 – P240 (Fine): the standard for final wood finishing before staining or lacquering.
-
P280 – P600 (Very Fine): for sanding between coats of lacquer, on primed surfaces or for wet sanding.
🦺 SAFETY MEASURES:
-
Mandatory protective equipment: safety glasses, a respirator mask or filter (fine sanding dust) and hearing protection for extended work.
-
Check that the abrasive strip is secured in the clamp before starting — a loosely fixed strip can come off at high speed.
-
Check the mounting of the drum and reducing bushings on the spindle and that the nut is fully tightened before starting.
-
Use feed/push devices when working small parts — keep your hands away from the drum while it is rotating.
